On Monday, September 23, The Arc of Buncombe County will host their annual masked ball to inform the community of the inequalities endured by those who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The first supporters and sponsors of the Special Olympics in Buncombe County, “A Masquerade Evening,” will be held at Magnolia’s at 6:00pm. Tickets will be on sale for $250.00 and will admit two guests.
Attendees are encouraged to be creative and wear a mask. Prizes will be given to the best costume. This year’s major give away is a 2013 Ford Fiesta courtesy of Asheville Ford, Lincoln and Mercury.
It is our mission to educate and inform the community about the disparities affecting those who are mentally/intellectually disabled, said Executive Director, Terry Bellamy.
Come out and enjoy a night filled with enchanting food, great networking opportunities and the chance to win great prizes.
