I'm the proud owner of an iPhone ! This is at once an exciting and daunting development in my otherwise low tech life. Keep in mind I only graduated to a flip phone with a camera 6 months ago, and that was only because my original cell phone at last succumbed to years of wear as a pocket passenger. They tell me these new iPhones have greater computer capability than did the Apollo 11 moon rocket. This is not only an amazing fact but is causing at least mild concern. While the astronauts and NASA engineers had months if not years to master the computer on board the command module, I'll probably have a few days at best. It looks do - able. My friend and co worker Mitch Ensley says he'll walk me through it. I tried to set up the phone over the weekend but was stumped over choosing the Wi Fi network. I have a Hi Fi, but dont know much about Wi Fi. My Hi Fi still has tubes if that tells you anything. It's old but will vibrate the china off the shelf. When that happens I take out my corn broom, pan and brush because I'm not up on vacuum cleaner technology either. All seriousness aside, the iPhone should be a handy tool once I've mastered it. I'm looking forward to road maps, being able to access email, which helps in my new job, and weather apps. I was however a bit dismayed to find out apps are not appetizers. Wish me luck.
Here is a brief snippet, for your viewing pleasure, which best exemplifies the extent of my technical skill. I'm the guy on the telephone pole.
