Enough of beating up on the technology sector in blog posts this week. It's time to turn our focus toward Christmas, soon to arrive. On The Morning Report, along with longtime WWNC Asst Program Director Jon Roten, we've started our own self styled "Lighten Up, It's Christmas Campaign". We have no funds to raise, no sponsors to herald, no deadlines to meet... just a goal to make sure you take a minute and enjoy the holiday with family and friends. This is a very unofficial campaign in a worried world. Sometimes that's the best kind. The more lights the better. Let's see if this rings a bell from the ghosts of Christmas past .... "The Island Of Misfit Toys" from "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" Christmas special, which first aired in 1964. I enjoyed it every year growing up, and I'm sure you did too. I have one question however. On the Island Of Misfit Toys, most of the toys are out of the ordinary... hence their presence on the island. All except the doll... what's wrong with the doll ? I never could figure it out. If you can, let us know !
