Earlier this week we explored the odd, fascinating and unfortunate fact that our very own Pete Kaliner here at WWNC never had breakfast meats as a child. For whatever reason, Pete informs us that growing up, there never was any breakfast meat offered at the the kitchen table in the Kaliner household. By the way, you should tune into Pete's program, The Pete Kaliner Show, weekday afternoons from 3 to 6 here on Newsradio 570 WWNC, he is informative, well researched and funny as he covers all aspects of politics, social issues and topics of curiosity. I wouldnt get into a debate with Pete unless I knew my topic darn well, and could back it up with fact. Apart from his formidable professional expertise, I still have a soft spot in my heart for a man denied breakfast meats at a young age. Picture them simmering in the pan .... steak with eggs, ham, sausage links and patties, crispy bacon. Maybe Pete likes just plain old toast....
