Republicans rejoice!

There is a computer model that has predicted every presidential race accurately since 1980, and that model predicts Mitt Romney will win in November.

Here is the Daily caller article.

Here is the map:

The program comes from two professors in the University of Colorado system, and it predicts Romney will pick up 320 electoral college votes, compared to Obama's 218.  It also predicts Romney wins 52.9% of the popular vote.

One big ommission, however, is the Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson.

Apparently, this analysis does not include the impact Johnson might have on the outcome, specifically in a state like New Mexico where Johnson was Governor and where some analysts predict he could prevent Obama from winning there.

The study authors also caution that this is using economic data from June. They plan to update the analysis again.  Further, there are a lot of these swing states that are, essentially, still toss-ups, even though the modeling program named winners.
