It's a good thing that Gov. Bev Perdue believes she nearly completed fixing North Carolina's mental health system, because she's pretty delusional.
In an interview with WTVD's Jon Camp, the outgoing Democratic Governor offered a series of startling responses.
She claims to have largely fixed all the problems she wanted to address when she took office four years ago.
"I did a really good job," Gov. Perdue said.
And when asked why she didn't want to run for re-election:
"I didn't want to do it anymore. I've done a great job, I believe, and someday the books will say that," Perdue said.
Huh? What books?
She then told Camp that she didn't need to explain her decision to him - or anyone else. She also asserted that the timing of her decision to step down had no role in Republican Pat McCrory's victory.
It's really hard to pick the most off-the-wall comment offered up by Perdue.
